Liquid Gastronomy Laboratory - Njord Ligalab

Years ago we started a winding and wonderful journey into the univers of creating complex tasting high quality gins that the world had never tasted. Until now we have invented more than 10 distinct Njord gins that stand out from the crowd with their complex and daring taste profiles. And many more gins will be developed.

But we don't stop here: In 2017, we created Njord Ligalab (Liquid Gastronomy Laboratory), and together with researchers from Aarhus University, cocktail specialists from Cocktailkonsortiet and the Michelin starred Restaurant Domestic we started a structured research and exploration within related areas of liquid gastronomy. Here in 2020 Njord Ligalab is still exploring new tastes together with and with inspiration from selected playmates from the food and drinks scene. 

Our Njord Ligalab mission is simple: To develop high quality gin based hybrid spirits and beverages and other complex spirit categories. All Ligalab liquids must have distinct flavour, and at the same time reuse is an important part of our mindset.

Until now we have created a sparkling gin/wine based on our sloe gin, the high proof cocktail series called Bottle Rocket, a vermouth based on our gin, differenct tonic syrups, a beer made for cocktail mixing, Bluetail cocktails on tap and much more. Some of the products are avalable in selected shops, bars and restaurants - and more will come.
