About the jazz quartet
Despite his young age, Oilly Wallace has played with a variety of Danish and foreign names, including Carsten Dahl, Anders Bergcrantz, Alvin Queen, Thomas Blachman, DR Big Band, Snorre Kirk and Winard Harper to name a few. He has appeared on several records, including Snorre Kirk's "Europe" and Ellen Andersson Quartet's "I’ll Be Seeing You". In 2015 Wallace released his debut album in his own name, "Oilly Wallace Fiol Sessions", which was nominated for a DMA for this year's new jazz name and received 5 stars in Berlingske Tidende. The following year he released the album "Easy Living" with guitarist Johannes Wamberg, which also received 5 stars in Berlingske. Now Wallace hits the stage with some of the most recognized young musicians on the Danish jazz scene: pianist Zier Romme Larsen, bassist Anders Fjeldsted and drummer Cornelia Nilsson. The repertoire consists of exuberant and energetic music written by Wallace.
